MAKE A 'LITTLE ASTRONAUT' ORNAMENT
Do you have a child in your family who thinks space is the coolest thing going? Make a Little Astronaut ornament just for them! It's quick, low-cost and simple.
Our goal here is to create an ornament of your child wearing a space helmet. To start, look for a small photo of your little astronaut and carefully cut the head out. Next, find a white Christmas ball ornament large enough to accomodate the head.
Buy a static cling car window shade in grey or brown translucent film to use for the helmet's faceplate. You'll be cutting out a wide oval shape tall enough to surround your space fan's picture. It's ok if the oval curves around the sides of the ornament a bit. That's what real astronaut helmets do.

Next, glue the oval onto the ornament with a little more white showing at the top than the bottom. To get recommendations on the best glue to use for different kinds of surfaces, try This To That.
Real space helmets don't have obvious graphics on them, but a NASA logo might add that special touch. You can find one here:

Lastly, glue in your astronaut, making sure that the bottom of their chin touches the bottom of the faceplate. That's it! They're ready to blast off towards a Merry Christmas.
