DevOps Python Engineer
Our Story

You will report to the VP of Product & Design. Success as a Backend Engineer is defined by helping the team achieve key results and business outcomes, improving the quality of the user experience, the backend architecture, and overall infrastructure.

The impact you will have
As a DevOps Python Engineer, you’ll be involved in many aspects of our product lifecycle and you will be responsible for ensuring all our infrastructure and applications meet or exceed the best practices in security standards required by our customers, work with customers to understand their security policies, ensure our applications are up to date with the latest software packages, build data pipelines that support data science and build application features.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding software that scales and is easy to evolve. We want someone with a strong infrastructure foundation who is looking to grow fast and has a keen eye toward operational aspects of distributed systems, managing cloud infrastructure, etc… You will be working with other engineers, product, and customer success teams to understand the customer and innovate through the use of technology. We have a collaborative, team-oriented culture and you will be working alongside other engineers and will have the chance to learn and teach others.
In this role you will:
- Support our business by maintaining, improving, and upgrading cloud infrastructure and python applications. Leveraging the latest software versions and security standards.
- Support and evolve data pipelines.
- Support data science projects and infrastructure.
- Contribute to general python application development.
- Additionally, you may be asked to assist the business by responding to customer security questionnaires.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years in a software development or operations role.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications and services to cluster-based and cloud infrastructure, preferably Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
- Python experience, familiarity with Linux and open-source technologies.
- Knowledge of modern architectures & design, microservices, and data pipelines.
- Ability to learn quickly with minimal guidance.
- Eagerness to understand business goals, recognize customer needs, and provide pragmatic solutions.
- A strong desire to grow as a tech professional.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with designing, operating, and troubleshooting distributed architectures.
- Familiarity with Django or SQLAlchemy or equivalent.
- Ability to create, debug and optimize SQL queries.
- Javascript experience is a bonus.
